Justin and Ryma are from Port Elizabeth but got married at Crawfords Cabins in Cintsa. It was a perfect day, although a bit windy. Ryma’s mom made her dress – can you believe it, it was absolutely stunning. We asked the couple to email us a short story of how they met, and instead of the bride sending the story, the groom did! How sweet is that!
How did Ryma meet Justin:
We met each other in 2004, Ryma was waitressing and I asked for her number… she was 20 and I was 29.
This led to a short period of dating which ended as I moved to JHB in 2005. We kept in contact over the years between 2005 and 2009 via a few late night calls and sms’s. Not sure exactly what I said but I always had a feeling we would see each other again one day.
Always promised to try meet up with Ryma but never made it happen, I moved to the UK in 2007 and still kept up to date via facebook.
In July 2009 I moved back to PE and I got hold of Ryma to suggest we meet for coffee! Coffee turned out to be lunch and after lunch we went to watch rugby together and sometime during the evening I managed to hold Ryma’s hand… and we have been together since that day. 22 August 2009.
We got engaged on the 3rd of March 2011 and the big day was 17 march 2012.
An affair that started in PE 8 years before turned full circle but looking back and thinking of it, I didn’t know it or see it clearly but Ryma and I were always meant to be together. Destiny, fate, serendipity, chance … take your pick it was meant to be. The universe did its job, and we took our opportunities when we had to!
Instead of giving their guests each a wedding favour, the couple decided to rather donate a percentage from each guest to their favourite local Charity – I love the idea, really think it is something special.
The couple asked permission from Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve to do their Creative Photoshoot there, and Inkwenkwezi gave us the most beautiful skies and grass land to play around with. Thank you to Graham and his staff for being so gracious in allowing us to use your grounds.
Ryma and Justin – your wedding day was absolutely perfect, and with a beautiful love story like yours, we just know that your future together will be amazing.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful day.
