Terry- Ann and Owen’s Golden Hour Wedding in Stutterheim

While I was busy shooting Fiona and Linton’s wedding in East London, Marius was in Stutterheim capturing Terry-Ann and Owens wedding.  Second shooting with him was Mariko from Mariko Jakins Photography.

Marius commented afterwards that Terry-Ann reminded him of the actress Kirsten Dunst, and I must say, I agree.  Terry-Ann looked absolutely beautiful!

Fiona and Linton – Two Swans East London

Fiona and Linton got married on a very sunny and windy day in December, and with windy I actually mean winds that nearly blew us away!

Their wedding ceremony was held in King Williams Town, so Fiona got dressed at the her parents home.

Crizanne and Cuan’s Styled engagement shoot – You are the apple of my eye!

Crizanne and Cuan is  getting married next year January, and let me tell you – they are extremely well organized.  They might be young but they also know exactly what they want which makes us very excited to be part of their wedding day.

A while back we received an email from Crizanne with some ideas on using apples in their wedding photos.  We loved them so much that when the time came to do their engagement shoot we approached her with our own ideas for an apple themed shoot.  Needless to say we all got very excited about planning this shoot and I think the end results speaks for themselves.  Once again the detail added so much to the photographs. (nudge nudge, wink wink to future couples!!)

Thulani & Lucy Luu – Tangible Love

Marius did an engagement shoot with this couple last year and seeing the results afterwards, I could see immediately how much they love each other.  Their photo’s were relaxed and they were comfortable with each other…the type of comfortable you get with someone when you know them inside out but still love them unconditionally.  We could not wait for their wedding, and of course we were not dissapointed.

You can clearly see their love for each other in each and every photograph.

Their wedding and reception took place at Gonubie Manor  (which one again went out of their way to make the day absolutely flawless) and we were blessed with a stunning day.

Styled Couple Shoots – it is all in the detail

I have been a fan of styled shoots for a very long time,  I find myself constantly drooling over my keyboard when I look at them on wedding blogs such as The Pretty Blog, Little Pink Book etc.

Adding a theme and lots of details to your photos just adds something very special to the look and feel of any photographs and it also create the opportunity to take very unique photographs. The couple gets the opportunity to use props and elements that are sentimental and special to them like grandpa’s old hat or pipe, grannies old quilt or that very unique piece of family heirloom.

So one Sunday afternoon we took a stunning couple, Celeste and Claude to the woods and set up a styled Vintage shoot, and we loved the end result!

The images clearly shows how thinking about detail adds so much to the end product and I will definately be recommending these type of shoots to our couples.

Thank you to Celeste and Claude for playing a along and adding your own very unique stamp on each photo – your love for each other!

Hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as we enjoyed taking them!
