Kaya and Unathi – Celebrating Family, Faith and Love {King Williams Town}
Kaya and Unathi look like a celebrity couple – they are both gorgeous and highly photogenic. They are definitely a couple made in heaven, but this is not all that makes this couple special. Their devotion to God shines through them and their whole wedding day was dedicated to worshiping the Lord. We knew this even if we did not understand their language.
Their wedding day was a true celebration of faith, family and most of all love.
Kristy-Lee and Roderick – Love on the Farm
Kristy-Lee and Roderick is just the sweetest couple, so you can imagine my disappointment when they booked their E-session in the time when I was on holiday at my mom and Dad with the kiddies! Judging by the photo’s, I really missed out on a lot! Kristy-Lee and Roderick is getting married in March next year and if what she’s looking for as chairs at her ceremony is anything to go by, the wedding is going to be spectacular! We really can’t wait!
Amanda & Peter – Cypress Dale, East London
Amanda and Peter are both originally from East London but are now both world citizens, and are currently living in London. They traveled back to East London to get married between loved ones and friends. The date they chose to get married on was not only National Woman’s day, but also Peter’s mom’s (and my) birthday.
They decided to have a morning wedding so we were at Amanda’s parents home bright and early to start taking photos.
Vuyo & Arthur – Alexander Golf Club East London
We met Vuyo the day before her wedding at her family home. She was radiant but a little bit concerned about the weather as a cold front was predicted for her wedding day. Sure enough, Saturday morning was freezing cold, but when we arrived at Vuyo’s dressing place, we were met only with tangible excitement!

South African Photography 1950 – 2010 {at the Ann Bryant Art Gallery)
While driving around East London today, dropping off photo books and doing some shopping, we noticed banners advertising a photographic exhibition at the Ann Bryant Gallery. While we had some time to kill before we picked up the kids from school, we thought it might be a good idea to pop in for a quick look!

Nicole & Warren 2 July 2011 {Summer love that grew strong}
We met Warren and Nicole at Ryan and Lauren’s wedding in January. As Marius walked past Warren at the wedding, Warren remarked “That is the guy I want to take my wedding photo’s”. So on Saturday, the 2nd of July we found ourselves on our way to Kei Mouth for Nicole and Warren’s big day. Warren and Nicole is an absolutely wonderful couple to work with. I went along with Warren to take some “getting dressed” photo’s and he made me feel right at home from the start. With their warm and outgoing personalities it was no wonder they had such a fun and relaxed wedding.
The cost of wedding photography {How much should I pay?}
This topic is a touchy one for most photographers and soon to be wed couples alike. When browsing through photography blogs and forums, the debate about pricing has intensified over the past few months. I can only guess at the reason for this, maybe the global economic crisis? Whatever the reason is, you as a bride or groom need to know what you pay for. So often I’ve heard couple’s complaining about their wedding photos, but then find out a “friend” or uncle captured their wedding day for them.

Julie & Clyde E-Session {Balloons, a horse and an old bicycle}
Julie was a bridesmaid of one of our previous brides, Tammy. Julie and Clyde are getting married in April next year and judging by the fun we had taking these engagement photo’s, the wedding is going to something to remember.
