Engagement shoots are a great way of celebrating your choice of spending your life together with the person you love.  Engagement shoots should be fun, spontaneous and creative.  They should also reflect the couple’s unique personalities.

“I just wanted to say that wedding photography is hard and its even harder when everything is wet and muddy and you’re cold and worried about your super expensive equipment, but sometimes you capture a moment which is just about two people being in love, and the rain and the possibly damaged equipment and everything else gets forgotten.”

Why wedding photography?

beautiful locations What is it about Wedding Photography in general that makes us want to do it again and again and again? I am pondering this question after reading another photographer’s advert, which states that the most satisfying part of being a wedding photographer to him/her is when the couple view their album for the first time and have joy on their faces. I guess that for every professional person the satisfaction of doing a job well ranks very high, but WHY do WE do it?

Green Weddings for all

charne_alex_011 With the huge amount of global interest in the seriousness in global warming, engaged couples are also now starting to look at ways of making their special day more environmentally friendly.  The question is however, how do you make sure that your special day leaves a smaller carbon footprint?

Michelle has gone to some trouble finding the following tips on the internet.  I now they are not necessarily photography related, but we are also looking into how to make what we do as wedding photographers, even more GREEN.
