Almarie & Brendan – Lollipops, toffee apples, a splash of colour and lots of love!
It is always nice to photograph someone you are familiar with, so when we got the chance to photograph our friends Brendan and Almarie’s wedding, we jumped at the chance!
Every couple wants to do things a little different on their wedding day and Brendan and Almarie somehow managed to do just that. It definitely was not your conventional wedding – from the brides very unique and stunning wedding dress and shoes to their wedding theme, everything had a unique twist.
Bulela & Kulungile – Cypress Dale, East London
Bulela and Kulungile got married on a beautiful warm and sunny day in October, and as you can see from the top image, the bride wore a beautiful wedding dress.
Kirsti & Selwyn – Rustic Vintage Love in the Mountains
The first time we met Kirsti, she told us that she is planning to have vintage type decor at her wedding, so of course I got very excited. ( If you don’t know by now, I LOVE anything and everything Vintage). So when we arrived at the stunning Hogsback on a beautiful Saturday morning in October I could hardly wait to see her venue and I was not disappointed!! I loved everything about it but most of all I loved the little “love quotes” that was placed between the flower decorations. Really sweet and original.
Mer’C and Keith – A day filled with praise, worship and love.
When we arrived at the Regent Hotel on a bright and sunny Saturday morning in September, I just knew that it was going to be a good day. The bride, Mer’C, not only is absolutely stunning, both inside and outside, but she took extra care in ensuring she gets stunning pictures, by carefully considering her getting dressed venue. ( See our previous article about the brides dressing place) The Regent Hotel offered the right surroundings to take beautiful Bridal Portraits.
Johan and Monique – Hitched with Vintage Flair
I’ve always been a huge fan of anything vintage, so when we arrived at Morgan Bay Hotel (which is, by the way, one of our favorite wedding venues!) and saw the beautiful decorated dining room, I just knew this wedding is going to be something special! I just loved everything about their decorations.
Just Models Photo Shoot – East London – 30 October 2011
Who said photographers had an easy life? After a lovely wedding on Saturday at the Fish River Sun on Saturday, I woke up on Sunday morning feeling like a train ran over me. Mmm, the onset of a bout of flu? Does not matter, as we had to go to Church, meet with a bride to discuss her wedding and then for the highlight of the day, a photo shoot with Models in training from Just Models! Just like actors gets screen tested, Models’ ‘talent’ in front of the camera needs to be tested. Some models are more suited for the ramp than for photographic modeling.
So there I went down the road with our portable studio kit. After a quick set-up and test it was time for camera and action! Davianne and her team was brilliant making the shoots with the models run smoothly at all times, considering Dwayne was taking outdoor shots with the models as well!
