Janine Oates Couture Fashion Shoot at Santa Paloma – updated

We’ve had a wonderfully exciting and busy day.  Firstly, Caval and Eugene’s engagement shoot, then a short break and off to Santa Paloma for Janine Oates‘ fashion shoot of her latest wedding dress designs.  Four models, beautiful dresses, a lot of organising and help form Madelene and Jacques (Santa Paloma) and beautiful make-up by Colleen made the perfect team for an unforgettable fashion shoot.  Thanks to all of you!  Hope we can do it again soon.  BTW – Girls in wedding dresses on a 4×4 Game Drive = Lots of laughter and Janine in damage control mode (with possibly a few heart attacks as well)!  Thanks for that one Jacques…

Tanya and Shaheed at the Blue Lagoon

We’re in the business of capturing and showing true love with our images. Tanya and Shaheed once again made our work a breeze. Challenging us was the fact that the portrait photos had to be taken after sunset on the beach! After the sun kissed us goodbye with it’s last rays on the horizon, high ISO, large apertures and slow shutter speeds were at the order of the day. We had lots of fun at this beautiful couple’s wedding, and the honesty of their emotions captured our imagination.

Sanchia and Jared – Gonubie Wedding

Eastern Cape living has its benefits. Shooting weddings around the corner from home at a beautiful setting like Gonubie is one of them! To top it all, Sanchia and Jared had a vintage glamour style and old school love radiating from them, making our last wedding of the current wedding season memorable, to say the least.

Trashing the Dress at Mpekweni

Trash the Dress? Now why would anybody want to trash a wedding dress you might think? It sounds like something that a wife might do after having a huge fight with her husband, not something you would imagine a just married couple enjoy doing!?

Hats off to brave Carmen and Le-Royé that not only had the courage to destroy (maybe they could save it) their wedding attire, but also brave some fairly cold water in the process! (The week before the wedding the Eastern Cape experienced some bitterly cold weather, and it surely had it’s effect on the water temperature).

The love and emotion the couple shared and displayed on their wedding day continued the day after at Mpekweni Beach Resort and thus allowed us to capture some amazing pics.

…And there is a pic in the shower right at the end!!!

The Jack Russel pup decided that Carmen looks much more friendly than it’s owners and joined the bride on the sand dune.

Carmen and Le-Roye’s wedding at Mpekweni

Firstly, to everybody that has been following us on Michmar Photography’s site (www.weddingphotosa.co.za), welcome to our new site and our new business. Michmar Wedding Photography will continue to exist under Full Circle Photography as our specialist Wedding Photography section. That means that you will be receiving the same great artistic images and commitment with two dedicated photographers capturing the moments at your wedding. But more on this in another post.

Carmen and Le-Roye is a truly amazing couple that showed their love for each other at every opportunity. This of course made capturing moments so easy, in fact, so easy that we could not stop ourselves from pressing the shutter release way too many times!

Here are a few special images from their day. We did a TTD shoot (Trash The Dress) the following day and our next post will contain some of those amazing pictures.
