Paintings made from your wedding photos
Often we see digitally created ‘paintings’ from wedding photos, but recently a couple of artists came forward offering couples REAL paintings of their wedding photos! Lizene Duff of East London is one such artist and we encourage couples to consider turning some of their favourite wedding photos into a timeless painting!

Lucille and Lionel’s Daringly Different Wedding
Wedding photos in a graveyard?! This was the reaction of some of our friends when mentioning one of the unusual locations visited during Lionel and Lucille’s wedding shoot. Maybe the location was unusual, but symbolically everything made sense! The cemetery shoot was actually done before the wedding ceremony, and when you think about it, on a day where everything is focused on a new beginning and a new life together, the graveyard was the ideal place to say goodbye to your old life… Think about it…

Kim and Wesley’s fun filled Gonubie Wedding
Kim and Wesley loves each other, and they love having fun and ‘letting their hair down’. Unusual, but perfectly planned to fit into their day, was the couple shoot BEFORE the ceremony! Of course enough time was allowed between getting ready and the ceremony, something couples should consider if they want to get married on time!
Everybody was holding their breath that the weather will be good on the wedding day, as some serious rain fell, causing flooding and damage in the East London area the week before the wedding. Nature’s special good weather blessing came on the Saturday with the couple enjoying the perfect weather for their nuptials.
Both the ceremony and the reception was held at the Gonubie Hotel, with Kim and her mom doing most of the decorating themselves! Well done Kim, it looked beautiful!
Megan and Jacques’ East London wedding
Another unpredictable East London autumn day awaited us. When we got up early on the Saturday morning, double checking batteries, memory cards, cleaning lenses and stealing glances at weathersa and the clouds outside, we knew that this day was going to be blessed. Excitement bubbled inside us we did the final preparations and departed to the bride’s dressing place. After all this time that we’ve been capturing the love between a bride and her groom, the honour of witnessing two people being united in marriage still does not escape us.

Leone and Dennis’ St Francis Bay Wedding
There were few honours bestowed upon me recently. The first was to be asked to ‘give’ my Mom away at her wedding and the second was for us to capture the special moments of the day. I think the strangest thing for me to do was to give Mom away, not that there was any doubt that Dennis is the perfect partner for her, rather that it was something that touched me more than I thought it would! In a way I guess it brought the fact home that one day I will have to give my daughters away to be married as well, and that is something I would rather not think about yet! Was much easier to stare through the viewfinder of the camera and not letting my mind wander too much! Please note that some of the pics was taken by one of the younger members of the fullcircle team – Chanté our twelve year old daughter…

Kaylin and Chris’ detailed romance at Mpekweni
Mpekweni played host to Kaylin and Chris’ nuptials on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in April, and all Kaylin’s expectations and dreams for her big day rubbed off on us in a big way. Kaylin has an eye for detail and this war reflected in everything from her detailed and romantic wedding dress to the ambigram spelling out her in Chris’ names! What a novel idea! Amongst the details that did not slip this creative couple’s mind was fresh apples and ambigramed waterbottles for the guests at the ceremony, slip slops for the beach and umbrellas for the guests to use for protection against rain or sunshine – truly thoughtful considering the nature of the weather these past few months in the Eastern Cape. Another great touch was at the reception; their use of blank CD’s in self addressed boxes on every table, for the guests to send them copies of pictures taken during the day!
The biggest surprise of the day was the Chinese lanterns that was lit up on the beach and ensured a highlight to the end of the day! All in all too much to mention in writing, rather enjoy some highlight photos of this stunning couple’s wedding:
