Lauren and Ryan’s Eastern Cape Romance
Power failures, humidity and bright sun, sprinkled with romance and love and family and friends – Lauren and Ryan could not have asked for a more perfect wedding! They met in Cintsa seven years ago and together their relationship has grown to the beautiful wedding we’ve had the honour to witness and capture their wedding photos on 8 December. Oh, and I should not forget, the food was brilliant, all taken care of by Priscilla, Lauren’s mom, who does catering at the Alexander Country Club in East London.
The power failure that happened during the reception was quickly handled by a guest owning a generator – proving how close knit this group of family and friends truly are.

Janine Oates Couture Fashion Shoot at Santa Paloma – updated
We’ve had a wonderfully exciting and busy day. Firstly, Caval and Eugene’s engagement shoot, then a short break and off to Santa Paloma for Janine Oates‘ fashion shoot of her latest wedding dress designs. Four models, beautiful dresses, a lot of organising and help form Madelene and Jacques (Santa Paloma) and beautiful make-up by Colleen made the perfect team for an unforgettable fashion shoot. Thanks to all of you! Hope we can do it again soon. BTW – Girls in wedding dresses on a 4×4 Game Drive = Lots of laughter and Janine in damage control mode (with possibly a few heart attacks as well)! Thanks for that one Jacques…

Venue of the Month – June 2010 – Santa Paloma
For our second Wedding Venue of the Month we choose Santa Paloma. Recently I was invited to a launch breakfast at Santa Paloma to promote their wedding and function venue. I was left breathless.
Santa Paloma is a unique venue and is suited to brides who want to add that “Bosveld” feeling to their wedding. An unique idea could be having a huge bonfire in the yard and getting everybody to tell stories around the fire about the bride and the groom and Santa Paloma is the ideal place to have that true African Wedding. An abundance of wildlife also add to the atmosphere and the chances are that some Zebras might join you for the party…
