After our wonderful wedding in Tarkastad (which we left by about 23:00) we drove to Queenstown, slept for 3 hours in the car ( which was not at all comfortable) woke up at 4am and met Singa and Atha on the beach at 6am. They were all set up and ready for their shoot.
We met Singa and Atha for the first time when Singa approached us to do a Styled Couple’s shoot them.

Needless to say we just immediately “clicked” and they booked us for their wedding. So when Singa contacted us about a maternity shoot a few months back I knew it was going to be a fun and different shoot.
Singa wanted 3 setups – A romantic bed on the beach setup, a African themed shoot and an underwater shoot. We worked hard to create something that not only would beat her expectations but would also be something she would treasure for years to come.
The lack of sleep was well worth it in the end. It was a cold and cloudy day with a few rain drops falling here and there during the first and second part of the shoot, but during the third part of the shoot,(which was the underwater shoot) the heavens opened up and it rained non-stop.
Words cannot describe how much admiration we have for this couple and especially Singa. Even though she was 36months pregnant and it was cold and raining, she did not back out – she got into a cold swimming pool and did her part in creating something beautiful. We feel extremely blessed to have wonderful clients like these.
We are still busy editing these pics but I could not wait to share them – will be uploading some more soon!
