Although we are super excited to share this wedding, it is nearly impossible to know exactly where to start and how to choose the best photos of such a wonderful day. We knew Sinead and Calvin’s wedding was going to be an intimate affair and the only set formalities for the day was that we had to be in Hogsback at 8:00. We arrived at The Edge and found the couple just waking up and having some coffee. There were no tables setup yet and we weren’t quite sure what to expect. The only guests for the wedding was Calvin’s mom, Sinead’s mom and Dad and her brother, and of course us.
Shortly after coffee was served, the big dinning room table of the cottage was carried outside on the stoep and everybody started putting decorations up, decoration the table and arranging the flowers (even Marius helped). In front of our eyes the most beautiful table began taking shape.
Then the couple started getting ready, with Sinead doing her own hair and makeup for her big day.
Once they were ready we went to the edge of the cliff overlooking the Hogsback mountains for the wedding ceremony. I think one will have to look far to get a more perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony we went for a quick photo session with the couple and then we all sat down for a wonderful lunch overlooking the Hogsback mountains.
After lunch with our bellies full, we all had a quick nap – yes our very first time napping on the job and then met up again late afternoon for the final photo session.
We apologize in advance, this post might be a bit long but, like we said in the beginning, it was really hard to choose our favourites. Please take some time to scroll through this post and leave some love for us in the end.
Can you believe it – this beautiful dress was Sinead’s mom’s dress. What a blessing to wear something so special on you wedding day.
Sinead and Calvin – thank you so much for making us a part of such a special day. You and your family made us feel so welcome and we left your wedding feeling more like guests and friends then your photographers. Your wedding will stay in our hearts always and weddings like this just makes us love our job even more.
Stay blessed always!
Marius and Michelle
